MISSION EARTH FIRST BECAUSE EARTH COUNTS
Mission Earth First aims at systemic change and the creation of self-sustaining communities and cities. Our aim is to find new ways for humanity to survive by linking outer space with underground space. To achieve this we bring together government, academic, industrial, and civil society partners who share our vision and have the willingness to collaborate. Through dialogue/narrative, research, development and showcasing of concepts we create a movement that will benefit Earth first and post-Earth later. We use an underground space environment created inside a Swiss mountain to enable a new way of thinking. The Mission Earth First environment is unique in that it literally creates a new environment for innovative ideas to spawn. Within this environment, we want to build a new eco-system around the themes of systemic change and self-sustaining communities. As such, the environment acts as an incubator and allows the development of scalable concepts.
HAGERBACH TEST GALLERY
Hagerbach Test Gallery looks back on 50 years of successful underground space development and research. The unique, 5.5 km long infrastructure network with its various rock formations, surfaces, galleries, tunnels and installations is optimal to test, analyse, train and demonstrate under full-scale conditions. It is also the perfect environment to innovate underground applications and technologies and to get inspired for the future
"UNDERGROUND PIONEERS SINCE 1970, LET'S FACE THE NEXT 50 YEARS AND TRIGGER CHANGES"
The International Tunnelling and Underground Space Association’s Committee on Underground Space (ITACUS) has been advocating the use of urban underground space for many years. Hagerbach offers ITACUS a home where it can demonstrate the validity of developing urban underground spaces.
“AT ITACUS WE BELIEVE THAT THE NEXT LEVEL UP IS DOWN”
The Swiss Centre of Applied Underground Technologies (SCAUT) is the world’s leading competency centre for the use of the underground space. It relies on high-end engineering, innovative solutions and most advanced ICT to make a substantial contribution to the creation of underground spaces for the future and to provide relief for metropolises and highly populated urban areas.
"THE THIRD DIMENSION, THE UNDERGROUND, MUST BE USED MORE AND WITH GREATER FOCUS"
THE HUS INSTITUTE
The HUS.INSTITUTE is a think tank to explore the transformation of the old economy into the digital modern era. We critically convoy decision-makers on their way to the necessary shift in perspective and world-view supporting the digital transformation towards an economically as well as ecologically sustainable present and future.
“AT THE HUS.INSTITUTE WE BELIEVE IN HUMANITY, OPEN MINDS AND COURAGE”
